The Mildren Construction team are currently working on Plymouth town centre improvements at New George Street and Old Town Street.

Having placed a few breakfast orders with the brilliant team running Moments Café (69a New George Street) we got talking about their need for a larger space above the Café.

The Café raises funds to support Memory Matters, a Community Interest Company based upstairs offering dementia support and advice. The Mildren team had used the space for meetings so we were delighted to help create a new space in time for the larger group to arrive. We removed a stud partition wall and moved some plug sockets, creating a larger room from two smaller rooms.

Shania James, Wellbeing Manager at Memory Matters said “We are very grateful for the time and hard work Mildren put into knocking down the wall in between two of our small rooms to make one bigger room. This room will be used to deliver Cognitive Stimulation Therapy to people living with dementia. We at Memory Matters are very grateful and appreciate your kindness.”
