New Aldi store in Weymouth
Mildren Construction are proud to be working with LondonMetric to deliver the new Aldi store on their Weymouth Gateway site.
The design of the building is based on the latest Aldi concept featuring a mono-pitch roof with a projection of 2M on the front elevation. Full height glazing wraps around the end elevation allowing views into the store from Mercury road with a cantilevered metal-clad canopy projecting from mid-height on the front elevation and entrance lobby, set above the ribbon glazing providing a degree of weather protection.
The building has approximately 1,650sqm of floor space with 100 parking spaces and as the site slopes from north to south, the southern boundary is retained with a King Post retaining wall. The new store will be opening its doors in Spring 2020.
