New Single Warehouse

Mildren Construction was engaged for the demolition of remaining site building slabs and yard slabs, the design and construction of a new warehouse and all associated external works and services. Exterior services included the hard and soft landscaping, car park, service yard and compound on Invincible Road, Farnborough.

The works on this project also included the civils and structural design and works associated with sub-station relocation and the removal of redundant HV cables, with Section 278 works.

Using soil stabilisation techniques over what was a former land fill site ensured the buildings could be constructed on traditional concrete foundations and strip footings. This negated the need to pile the ground, limiting work within the contaminated ground on site.

Mildren completed the construction of this site branch with works for an additional Travis Perkins branch in Exeter, the largest in the UK, completed simultaneously. Both schemes were completed at the end of July 2021, with the S278 works completed in August 2021.
