The 1940s built chaplaincy building at HMS Collingwood required complete refurbishment and modernisation. Internal and external walls were overlined to improve thermal conductivity, new ceilings and floor coverings were provided, as well as new ablution and kitchen facilities. The electrical and mechanical installations were completely replaced to bring the building in line with modern building regulations.
