AECC’s New Rehabilitation Centre

AECC University College in Boscombe, Bournemouth

Mildren have completed construction of a new 746sqm integrated rehabilitation centre for AECC University College in Boscombe, Bournemouth.

The centre provides nine treatment rooms and a large multi-zoned physical rehabilitation space to help people get back to health and mobility after injury or illness. It’s environmentally friendly (to BREEAM Very Good status), utilising sustainable materials and including a green roof and solar panels, bat and bird boxes on the exterior. The wide open outdoor space is welcoming and used by clients. This project began with demolition of the old school gym on the Garnet Campus.

This project also achieved BREEAM ‘Very Good’ in line with the client’s requirements.

 

Specialist Rehabilitation

The Integrated Rehabilitation Centre provides a comprehensive range of specialist rehabilitation services to the community, with state-of-the-art equipment and expertise in MSK Physiotherapy, Neurological Physiotherapy, exercise classes, health testing, performance testing and more. Anyone visiting the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre also has Access to other departments onsite including, MRI/upright MRI, X-Ray and Ultrasound.
