Development of new homes on the Isle of Wight

Gatcombe Manor is the former Whitecroft Hospital near Newport on the Isle of Wight.

Mildren Construction, operating as the main contractor were responsible for the complete re-design of the development, allowing for the product offering to be bought in line with the current market demand.

Works involved significant demolition and site clearance of existing structures and the original Grade II listed hospital buildings sympathetically renovated to create a combination 1 & 2 apartments. The new build elements to the project saw the construction of three rows of terraced houses, that complimented and remained in keeping with the vernacular of the wider development. Additional works included extensive 278 works, new site road infrastructure, drainage, ground remediation and attenuation.
