Extension and refurbishment of existing nursing home

Mildren Construction recently delivered the design, erection and completion of a luxury 16-bedroom extension and remodelling to an existing operational nursing home at Highcliffe Nursing Home. The provision consisted of 16-bed spaces and ensuites, two assisted bathing rooms, lounge/day space areas and associated circulation space.

The scheme also included full internal remodelling and refurbishment of the existing home including new flooring and doors throughout. The scope also included infrastructure works, which involved providing extra lounge and dining room space, a new salon, new administration offices and a revised entrance lobby. There was also extensive hard and soft landscaping including improved parking facilities and re-landscaping. The scheme also created 20 extra jobs, ranging from support workers and activities coordinators to domestics and kitchen staff.
