Faraday Business Park

Mildren Construction was appointed as the primary contractor to construct 3 industrial/warehouse units for Fareham Borough Council.  Located adjacent to a live regional airport, on an existing business park, the project buildings include ancillary office space, external yards and parking areas. The units, totalling 58,000 sqft, have been delivered as a high quality employment space to the local market. This project was completed within a 30 week programme.

Following ongoing conversations with the client, the decision was made to utilise built-up wall cladding on an APL Tritherm™ spacer system that was installed as part of the specified roofing and cladding system. The insulation was upgraded to Stonewall Flexislab to meet fire insulation and integrity requirements at party walls, walls adjacent to boundaries and the sub-station. At the sub-station, the mineral wool insulation extends to the full height of the adjacent wall and within 5m along the wall to provide one hour insulation and four hours integrity.
