W&S Headquarters Recycling Plant

Consolidation of W&S's functions in one location

Mildren Construction was appointed to build a new 5400m2 state-of-the-art sustainable materials recycling facility at Mannings Heath Industrial Estate, consolidating W&S’s services and functions (headquarters, cardboard recycling and transport depot) in one location.

This former landfill site offered challenging ground conditions and subsequent ground improvement solutions. The Mildren team, client and designers worked collaboratively to successfully deliver the project and achieved an Excellent Considerate Constructors result.

W&S provide recycling services in many different areas; metal, glass, plastics and hazardous waste, amongst many others. They also have an upcycling shop and cafe at the Mannings Heath site.
