Resurfacing of the highway over 6km on both carriageways

Our works comprised the maintenance on the A361 North Devon Link Road involving resurfacing of the highway over 6km on both carriageways, including sections of full depth construction, waterproofing to two underbridges, one over a canal and one over network Rail property , filter drain refurbishment, replacement of signs and vehicle restraint systems, the management of the trees, scrub and grassed areas adjacent to the highway, layby improvement works and other associated minor works.

Challenges faced on the project included:

• Working on a live dual carriageway
• Working in the vicinity of Network Rail property during the resurfacing and waterproofing
• Working in the vicinity of watercourses
• Fibre optic cables in both the eastbound and westbound verges
