Working inside a busy port, several thousand tonnes of contaminated soil was removed from the site, prior to the construction, adjacent to a live rail line, of this RC loading platform of approximately 6,500 m2.

The works also included new high mast lighting, service diversions, stormwater drainage, a data cable distribution system, perimeter security fencing and gates. Two navigation masts that are used by ships in the Solent were repositioned.

The work was carried out in phases to allow the occupier to continue their container handling business uninterrupted. In addition, their offices were repositioned and the entrance to the facility was remodelled.
