Construction of a 31,000 sq/ft warehouse

Continuing our work with Manchester Airport Group, Mildren Construction built this 31,000 sq ft warehouse development in 25 weeks for use by City Link as a replacement to the older distribution facility which was already present on the aviation park site. The warehouse was completed on schedule right on time for the Christmas period.

The large steel structured portal frame design has ground and first floor office spaces to one end of the building, complete with a personnel lift, parcel counter/reception and drivers canteen. The 6no 6 meter high overhead sectional doors allow increased speed of unloading and loading multiple Lorries to enable faster distribution.

The development which is located directly next to the Bournemouth Airport runway and in the middle of a busy industrial estate is an iconic addition to the surrounding buildings. The building utilises high spec materials and a composite cladding system on the walls.

This building adds to our repertoire of similar warehouse and industrial units, further demonstrating our wide range of knowledge and expertise.
