£2M Project completed in Chichester Road
Mildren Construction have completed a £2m industrial project on behalf of Chichester District Council along Terminus Road.
It’s the second building scheme commissioned by Chichester District Council on the Terminus Road Industrial, to support local businesses.
The industrial units are based on Plot 21, previously occupied by Goodwood Metalcraft.
The previous structure was deemed no longer suitable for modern business needs and was demolished to make space for the new units, which were completed on schedule at the end of October.
Each unit provides 230-300 square metres of floor space, plus the potential to add a mezzanine floor, if so desired. There is also designated space for each tenant to include a trade counter or reception area and has the cap a city to house around 5 members of staff.
The scheme will help generate rental income for the council, helping to protect key services for residents across the district, as well as facilitating business and providing new employment in the area.
Councillor Tony Dignum, Leader of Chichester District Council, said: “I’m very pleased to see this excellent new facility. One of the key aims of this scheme is to improve the area’s economy by attracting new employers. It will also provide an opportunity for existing businesses in the area who are seeking to expand and move to new premises.
“Because the site is owned by the council, the rental income will go towards helping the council provide key services for our residents.”
