This project marked Mildren’s second successful McDonald’s drive-thru project, completed at the busy Bailey Bridge Retail Park in Christchurch.

Operating within a live and high-traffic retail environment, we:

• Demolished the former Pizza Hut restaurant, including removal of all existing foundations and redundant utilities.
• Undertook full groundworks preparation ahead of modular pod installation.
• Delivered and installed modular units efficiently on-site.
• Constructed the new car park, drive-thru lanes and footpaths.
• Installed drainage and coordinated utility service connections.
• Poured new foundations to support the modular structure.

Fast-track build: the modular units were installed in a single day, followed by a five-week fit-out completed by specialist contractors.

Community-focused construction: situated near residential properties and within Christchurch Retail Park, the project was carefully managed to control noise and prevent dust, ensuring minimal disruption to local residents and businesses.
