Design and construction of a new play barn offering an internal play facility

The Adventure Wonderland Family Park at Hurn near Bournemouth regularly features is regularly voted as being the top family attraction in Dorset. However, in order to improve their product they commissioned Mildren Construction to ‘Design and Construct’ a new play barn offering an internal play facility to allow the park to open 365 days a year.

The super-structure comprised a structural steel frame, composite clad roof, cedar oak wall cladding and hardwood timber windows and doors.

The internal layout included a main play area, kitchen and toilet facilities and first floor offices. The entire project was completed in 22 weeks to allow the client to open for Easter.
