A Highly Commended for Mildren at the Solent Business Awards
Dorset based Mildren Construction has received a Highly Commended award at the Solent Business Awards (#SolentBA) this year.
The winners were presented with their awards at the black-tie dinner at the Hilton Ageas Bowl on 19th October. The awards were set up to recognise companies that have truly achieved all-round business excellence in terms of financial performance, strategic direction, people, products and services against the continuing backdrop of uncertain economic times.
Simon French, Mildren’s MD said: “We’re pleased to have received a Highly Commended in the Company of the Year award category. Our thanks go to all the judges and to the sponsors KPMG who gave up their time to come to our offices and interview us back in the summer.”
“This is a fantastic achievement for all our staff as we are very much a team together and without each and every one of them, we wouldn’t be where we are today. I accept this award on behalf of everyone involved.”
Mildren had to satisfy the judges that they met (and/or exceeded) the following categories:
- Excellence in both products and services to customers.
- Past achievements and future plans.
- Financial performance.
- The identification and drive in to new markets.
- Commitment to the training and development needs of employees.
- Contribution to enhancing the region’s business reputation and protecting the county’s environment.
The Award was presented to Ashley Harvey, (second right) Commercial Director and Simon French (third right) Managing Director for Mildren Construction.
David Murray, publisher of The Business Magazine, said: “These awards are aimed very much at the ‘top-end‘; they are prestigious trophies that attract entries from the very best companies.”
Now in its third year, the SBAs have quickly become established as the premier multi-category awards scheme covering the entire South Coast and Solent area.
