This project comprised the construction of 820m of new access road and infrastructure to serve a new commercial estate known as Daedalus East Business Park.

The new carriageway and footpaths were constructed to Hampshire County Councils adoptable standards.

New utilities were laid along the length of the access road from which connections to new development plots can now be made. A new foul water pumping station was also constructed to Southern Water’s adoptable standards and fully complies with Sewers for Adoption 7th Edition.

The airfield is used for general aviation with only the main north - south runway currently in use. However, during the construction period for this contract, there were plans to use the secondary runway (east – west) temporarily for flights and airfield operations, whilst the main runway was being re-surfaced. This in turn placed height restrictions on the construction site, plant and apparatus to ensure flight paths were safeguarded.
