Mildren Construction have just completed work on a £2.54M industrial site on the outskirts of Hardley in the New Forest.

The instruction from their client PC Building Supplies Ltd, followed the sale of the site they have occupied for over 30 years due to growing requirements.  This old site, jointly owned with New Forest District Council, has been bought for development by Churchill Retirement Living and Lidl.

The new facility provides a 15,000 square foot builders’ merchants and supporting yard occupying twice that size together with six start up units of 1,300 square foot each, with shared outside communal area.

Simon French, Managing Director of Mildren Construction said:

Mildren is delighted to have been involved in this project. PC Building Supplies is an established and well respected, family-run builders’ merchant operating across the local area.  The necessity to move was evident as they were rapidly running out of space due to continued growth.

“The building comprised pad and strip foundations and steel frame with exterior cladding.  We worked closely with our clients to achieve the timescales required enabling fit-out contractors to be on site at the same time as our operatives.”

Mildren have become one of the South’s leading construction and civil engineering firms by combining industry expertise, unrivalled local knowledge and a willingness to think innovatively and ambitiously.
